Document Handling System

First Term Project at the Umeå Institute of Design

 

brief description

Using informal interviews, still photography, and video, we documented and analyzed the daily work activities of logistic truck drivers as part of a 5 week project focused on document handling sponsored by Volvo Trucks.

 

After the first series of interviews was completed and a task analysis of the work was presented, a second, more directed interview was conducted with one of the drivers in order to collect specific material.

 

The aim of the projected was to develop a system or a product that could improve the daily document handling activities for this professionals. The starting point was the Dynafleet system.
