Recently I published an article on Core77 covering some of the presentations from a conference I attended in July. I tried to show the connection between what some folks and I presented into overarching themes.

Wired Speaker Series: Dean Kamen
type
Lecture
where and when
Museum of Science and Industry Chicago
October 11th 2006
19:30 - 20:30

Dean Kamen is the inventor and developer of the SegWay. In this conversation with John Hockenberry, contributing editor of Wired Magazine, he talked about the development process of the SegWay and current work/research.
I didn't have high expectations but in general it wasn't very exciting. Besides the old discussion about the contribution of technology research to the development of medical equipment to make people's lives better, any higher level questions were really addressed by Dean, John or the audience.
